Three Types of People
Genesis 10 is nicknamed the table of nations. Many have read the passage but only at a glance on their way to the tower of babel story. It would be a mistake to skip the list because the names sound foreign. This list is very unique from other lists of names in the Bible. What Brother Sean shows is that the list is theological in nature. The investigation into Genesis 10 begins with three questions:
1. Why is the birth order of this passage changed?
2. Why does Ham’s list not include individual names but does include places and groups of people?
3. Why does Shem’s list include non-blood relatives? Why does the list include allies of Israel?
Brother Sean explains how the answers to these questions will lead us to a better understanding of ourselves and society.
