Some-Sayers and Confessors
This brief message was preached at Summerville First Baptists 170th homecoming event. The theme of the message forms around two types of people and one question that everyone needs to ask. Brother Sean argues that there are Some-Sayers – people who are willing to say something about Jesus or willing to go along with what others say about Jesus. He also argues that the church is meant to be filled with Confessors. A Confessor is one who believes that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God who was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, was tried by Pilate, suffered, was crucified, died, and on the third day rose again. Why is it important to be a Confessor and not a Some-Sayer? Brother Sean opens Scripture to answer the question.
